PRIVATE LESSON CANCELLATION POLICY
In the event a student cannot attend a lesson, please call a minimum of 48 hours in advance before the scheduled lesson to inform his/her instructor of their upcoming absence. If a 48-hour notice is not given, the students missed lesson will be considered a non-refundable "lesson used". Each student is permitted 3 cancellations within their 10-lesson package per semester. Beyond that point there will be no refunds/make-up lessons. ALL lessons MUST be redeemed by the end of the semester. Lessons expire at the end of the semester in which they were purchased.
MATERIALS AND DRESS CODE
Musical Theatre students and Private Lesson students are expected to bring their AP binders, and lesson books to every class and lesson! Musical Theatre students will be provided with sheet music, and an AP binder. Please make sure your child is practicing his/her lines, music and choreography at home! Failure to practice may result in loss of lines or being cut from the number. The dress code for each class is outlined in our brochure and in the Attire webpage. If you have any questions about what to wear, or if you would like to order any of your attire through Annie’s Playhouse, please see one of our friendly staff for our Attire Order Form.
ATTENDANCE/MAKE-UP CLASSES
In the event you are unable to make it to a group class, each student is welcome to attend any class of his/her age group and skill level within the semester. Please call the Playhouse ahead of time so we can discuss and plan for your arrival. It is vital to make your best effort to attend all classes for choreography and music progress on a weekly basis. Missed classes may jeopardize the opportunity to perform in the material covered that day. Let us know if you have any out dates so we can make adjustments to our rehearsal schedule to help your child achieve their personal best.
SNOW DAYS
Annie’s Playhouse will usually be closed on days that schools are closed due to inclement weather. All participants will be notified via email in the event the Playhouse will be closed due to snow. Feel free to give us a call on the morning/afternoon of your class to see if classes will be running as normal. You will not receive a phone call notification of cancelled classes, so please Contact us if you are unsure.
SHOW AND REHEARSALS
Please pay attention to any show and rehearsal information that is emailed to you throughout the semester, as dates and times for your classes may change. We try to keep our rehearsal schedule as close to our class schedule as possible, but please be aware that changes do occur. All class rehearsals, opening and closing rehearsal, and dress rehearsals are mandatory and will take place the week before the show.
For all rehearsal dates, locations, times, and ticket information please refer to the Calendar page on our website. Please make sure that your child has dance shoes, black pants, and a Playhouse t-shirt (provided the week before the show) for the night of the show. Hair must be pulled back and make-up is strongly encouraged for all shows. Anyone who misses the dress rehearsal and the opening/closing rehearsal will not be in the opening and closing number.
BRING-A-FRIEND WEEK
We encourage your child to bring a friend during this week of classes held once a semester. It gives our students an opportunity to show off their stuff to their friends and introduce them to the excitement of the class they are enrolled in! Dates for this week are listed on the Calendar.
LOST AND FOUND
All forgotten items left at the Playhouse, such as clothing and binders, will be placed in our Lost & Found bin.
